Albarossa is variatal obtained in 1938 from Barbera and Nebbiolo plants thanks to Prof. Giovanni Dalmasso. It grows primarely in the province of Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo. Because of its late maturation, the Albarossa deserves the best exposures on the vineyards.
Following a refinement in oak barrels, the result is a deep ruby red wine, with violet reflections, an intense & complex bouquet with hint of spices, tobacco. Warm and with well balanced acidity.
Destalking and crushing, maceration at controlled temperature in programmable tanks.
The Albarossa is ideal with savoured main dishes as well with braised and roasted meat.
